How We Hire
A clear, respectful process built to help you do your best work, from the first conversation to the offer. No trick questions, no ghosting, and feedback either way.
Real problems, not trick questions.
Most tech interviews reward memorised algorithms, puzzle questions and high-pressure gotchas. We do not run interviews that way. We want to see how you solve real problems, how you collaborate, and whether we share the same values. You are assessing us just as much as we are assessing you.
Real work, not tricks
Our technical sessions mirror actual client work: pair programming on production code, architecture discussions, collaborative problem-solving. No puzzle questions, no algorithm recitals.
Transparent and respectful
You will know what to expect at every stage. We respect your time, give feedback promptly, and never ghost candidates.
Bias reduction
Structured interviews, diverse panels and blind CV reviews keep the focus on your skills and potential, not where you studied or who you know. Talent over privilege.

What to expect, step by step.
A clear, five-stage process with no hidden rounds. We keep you informed at every step, and most candidates go from application to offer in two to four weeks.
5 steps
From application to offer, with no surprise rounds added later.
2 to 4 weeks
Typical time from applying to a decision. We move faster for exceptional candidates.
Within 5 days
A real person reviews every application and responds.
Always
Constructive feedback whether the answer is yes or no.
Submit your application
Our talent team reviews every application. We use blind CV reviews, with names and photos removed initially, to reduce unconscious bias. If there is a potential match, a recruiter reaches out within 5 days. What we need:
- Your CV, ideally a PDF, up to 2 pages
- Optional: a brief cover letter explaining why TrueForge interests you
- Optional: portfolio, GitHub, or relevant work samples
Tip: Tailor your CV to highlight experience relevant to the role. If you are a career changer or recent graduate, emphasise projects, bootcamps, or self-directed learning.
Recruiter conversation
A mutual fit assessment, and your chance to ask questions and understand whether TrueForge aligns with your career goals. No technical assessment yet. What we discuss:
- Your career journey and what you are looking for next
- The role, team structure, and client engagement model
- Compensation expectations, location preferences, visa requirements
- Our culture, values, and what makes TrueForge different
Tip: Come prepared with questions about our work, culture, or growth opportunities. This conversation is as much for you as it is for us.
Technical assessment
We evaluate your problem-solving approach, communication, collaboration, technical depth, and how you handle feedback. Perfection is not expected; we want to see your thinking process. The format depends on the role:
- Developers: pair programming on a real-world problem. We provide the setup, you drive the solution
- Architects: system design discussion or architecture review of a case study
- Data engineers: data pipeline design or transformation challenge
- Analysts: requirements gathering or stakeholder scenario role-play
Tip: Think aloud as you work. Ask clarifying questions and treat the interviewer as a pair partner. Collaboration matters more than speed, and it is okay to look things up or say "I do not know, but here is how I would figure it out."
Culture and values discussion
We assess alignment with our values: integrity, continuous learning, collaboration, advocacy. We are not looking for culture fit, where everyone thinks the same. We want culture add: diverse perspectives that strengthen us. What we explore:
- How you approach teamwork, feedback, and conflict
- Your perspective on ethical technology, DEI, and social impact
- Situations where you have learned from failure or adapted to change
- What motivates you and what kind of environment helps you thrive
Tip: Be authentic and share real examples from your experience. We value honesty over polished answers. If you have made mistakes or changed your mind about something, that is growth.
Offer and onboarding
If not selected, we provide constructive feedback and keep your profile active for future opportunities. Many of our best hires initially applied for different roles. If successful:
- You receive a detailed offer including salary, benefits breakdown, and start date options
- We are open to negotiation. Compensation should feel fair and motivating
- Pre-boarding materials arrive 2 weeks before your start: equipment, access, reading
- Your first week includes TrueForge Academy onboarding and team introductions
Tip: If you have competing offers or timeline constraints, let us know. We want you to make the best decision for your career, even if that is not TrueForge.
What we look for.
Technical skill matters, but it is not the whole picture. These are the traits that tend to thrive here.
Problem-solving mindset
You are comfortable with ambiguity, break down complex challenges systematically, and know when to ask for help.
Collaborative spirit
You value diverse perspectives, give and receive feedback gracefully, and believe the best work emerges from teamwork.
Continuous learner
You stay curious, embrace new technologies and practices, and see mistakes as learning opportunities rather than failures.
Purpose-driven
You care about the why behind your work: building technology that serves users ethically and creates positive impact.
Clear communicator
You explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, document your decisions, and proactively share context with your team.
Growth-oriented
You seek challenges that stretch your abilities, take ownership of your development, and help others grow too.

Common questions.
Straight answers to what candidates ask most.
Do I need to meet every requirement in the job description?
No. Job descriptions are wish lists, not hard gates. If you meet 60 to 70 percent of the criteria and are excited about the role, apply. We value potential and learning ability over perfect skill matches.
What if I am a career changer or recent graduate?
We actively welcome career changers, bootcamp graduates, and self-taught technologists. Our TrueForge Academy programme is designed specifically to support your transition through training, mentorship, and real client work.
Do you sponsor visas or support relocation?
Yes. For the right candidates, we provide visa sponsorship and relocation assistance to Dubai. Discuss your situation with the recruiter during your first conversation.
Can I interview for multiple roles?
Absolutely. If you are genuinely interested in different career paths, let the recruiter know. We can structure the process to explore multiple options without repeating interviews.
How does remote work factor in?
Most roles are hybrid, with 3 days in the Dubai office and 2 remote. Some positions offer full remote for exceptional candidates in compatible time zones. Client engagements may require on-site presence.
What if I do not hear back after applying?
We aim to respond within 5 business days. If you have not heard back after 7 days, email careers@trueforge.ae with your application reference. Sometimes things slip through.
Can I reapply if I was previously rejected?
Yes. People grow. If 6 or more months have passed or you have gained relevant experience, we encourage reapplying.
Do you provide interview feedback?
Yes, always. Win or lose, you will receive constructive feedback explaining our decision and areas for growth. We believe candidates deserve this investment of our time.
