TrueForge is hiring a Sales / Account Manager to expand our client base and maintain strong relationships with our customers. You will identify businesses that can benefit from our legacy application modernization services, pitch our solutions to them, and ensure that our existing clients remain satisfied, supported, and engaged.
About the Role
As a Sales / Account Manager, you’ll be the link between TrueForge and our clients. Your responsibilities range from generating leads and meeting new prospects, to nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients. You’ll craft proposals and presentations to demonstrate how our services can solve client challenges—particularly those stemming from outdated technology. Working closely with our technical teams, you will ensure that what is promised to the client is delivered, and you’ll seek opportunities to grow each account. This role requires both a hunter mentality for new business and a farmer approach for account management to drive overall revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and reach out to potential clients, developing a pipeline of companies in need of legacy system modernization.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demos tailored to each client’s needs, clearly communicating the value of TrueForge’s solutions.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts—negotiating terms and closing new business deals.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, checking in regularly and coordinating with delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to the engineering and leadership teams about client needs and market trends.
- Meet and strive to exceed sales targets and KPIs through both new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by winning new clients and expanding business with existing accounts.
- Maintain a deep understanding of TrueForge’s service offerings and industry trends to effectively advise and upsell clients.
- Ensure high client satisfaction by proactively addressing needs, resolving issues, and delivering on promises.
- Accurately track and forecast sales activities and results, updating management on pipeline status and progress toward targets.
- Represent TrueForge at networking events, conferences, and meetings as a knowledgeable ambassador of our legacy modernization expertise.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated success in a B2B sales or account management role, preferably in the technology or IT consulting sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a consultative selling approach.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and business challenges, and to craft solutions to address them.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric mindset and a knack for earning client trust.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently to drive results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with at least 2 years in the IT industry.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing client accounts successfully.
- Familiarity with selling IT services or software solutions; knowledge of legacy systems and modernization is a bonus.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools to manage pipelines and customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings or industry events as needed.
