Position Summary

TrueForge is hiring a Finance / Accounting Manager to oversee our financial health and support strategic decision-making. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure that our consultancy’s growth and projects are financially well-managed and sustainable.

About the Role

As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for both tactical financial management and strategic financial guidance. You’ll maintain accurate books and records, managing payables, receivables, payroll, and month-end closing. Additionally, you’ll prepare financial reports and analyses that inform leadership decisions, helping to guide investments and project planning. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations (including tax laws in the UAE) is a critical part of your role. Through strong financial controls and insightful analysis, you will contribute to the overall success and stability of TrueForge.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily accounting operations: manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, invoices, and payroll processing.
• Prepare timely financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports) and present key findings to management.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, working with department heads to align budgets with strategic goals.
• Monitor project finances, including tracking project-specific expenses and revenues, to assess profitability and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements in the UAE, coordinating with external auditors and advisors for audits and filings.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business decisions, such as pricing of services, potential investments, or cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a robust system of financial controls and ensure accuracy in all financial records and transactions.
• Manage cash flow effectively, projecting future cash needs and optimizing working capital.
• Provide financial oversight on client projects, including monitoring billable utilization and advising on pricing or contract terms.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management reports, highlighting key insights, trends, and any areas of concern.
• Interface with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities, representing TrueForge in financial matters and ensuring all statutory obligations are met.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial management, with impeccable attention to detail.
• Experience in a finance role within a professional services or tech company is a plus, especially dealing with project-based accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting financial data to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
• High level of integrity and reliability, with strong communication skills to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and relevant UAE financial/tax regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and proficiency with accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP).
